PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS

This mix includes 26 varieties of Ohio native wildflowers and grasses. Because this mix is a 100% perennial without any annual fillers you should be aware that it will take 3 years to fully establish. Please do not think that your seeds are not growing correctly or to their full potential! Despite this, we know there is often a desire for instant color so you may purchase an “Annual Booster Pack” (free with the free packets) to add some color to your garden this year.

These perennials should be planted in a sunny, well drained area.

Fall Planting- After Thanksgiving, sow seeds directly into the ground and cover with an 1/8" of soil. Seeds planted in the fall will remain dormant until the spring.

Spring/Summer Planting: Once threat of frost has passed, till your area and immediately work the seed into the soil 1/4" to 1/2" deep and water in well- keeping the seeds well watered. As some of the varieties require cooler weather you can put your seeds in a damp paper towel and place them in the refrigerator for 10-15 days before planting for best results.
